Where the Does the Time Go?

Thanksgiving is now over and I did not have the time to do anything creative. Shame on me!! I am so bad at time management. "Hey I think that is going to be one of my New Year's Resolutions." Hopefully I can stick to it and find the time, even if its 20-30 minutes a day to do something creative.
On another note, I was hired to personalize candles for a baby shower. The baby shower was for a girl, the colors were Lilac, pink and white. Finding Lilac and Pink candles in the middle of the Christmas season was a challenge. I mean everywhere I looked only had red, green, gold and silver. I almost gave up. But my heavenly Father guided me one day to my local Christmas Tree Shoppe and low and behold I found them. They were gorgeous, scented and the icing on the "cupcake" ( which are my fav, lOl) were they lite up, yes flameless candles. She was thrilled. I am so happy that my creativity was appreciated.
Until next time,

Halloween Goodies

My daughter had her first party of the year at Preschool, a Halloween costume party. So we decided to make "mummies". These were chocolate cake with marshmallow Butter cream, the eyes are sour gobstoppers and the smiles are sparkle red piping gel.
We also made Jack'o latern cake pops, which did not come out perfect but I was feeding (12) 4 year olds so it didn't matter to them that the chocolate wasn't smooth.
My daughter also asked me to make her some goody bags. These were very simple and I made them easy for her to carry to school and hand them out to her friends. They loved them!!!! Then again what child doesn't like a little candy.

Its amazing how time is flying, Halloween was 2 weeks ago and the planning for the Thanksgiving cupcakes are in the works. I will post pictures as soon and the Thanksgiving Feast ends. Until next time....~~Be Creative~~

TwiLight.....Is it really that Great??!!

This whole Twilight Saga craze is insane. It is turning even grown women, mothers and grandmothers into crazy teen groupies. I haven't read any of the books nor seen any of the movies but I made this bookmark. I thought it came out pretty cool.

I love To Alter things

I was cleaning out my son's closet, which was my storage area for all of my crafting supplies and found this clock that I bought at Walmart for around 5 dollars. I think the clock is ugly left as is, its just too plain.
My DH's bar area was in need of a clock, so I took the clock grabbed some manly paper I picked up at A C Moore, cut out a circle with my George Cricut Cartridge @ 6 3/4 in. and cut out the numbers using the Calligraphy Cartridge @ 3 inches.

This is what I came up with. Simple but customized. My DH loved it and I enjoyed putting it together for him. Now on to my next 2 projects. As always

Decor for my daughter's Room

I have been shopping around for decor for my daughter's room. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but I was so tired of seeing that huge and long pink wall so plain I needed to fill it and fast.
I walked into Michael's and they had wooden unaltered stars on sale. I think I paid .50 for each, grabbed 5 and off I went. I finally decided to paint the stars and the DH and I decided on 5 words we thought we would like our daughter to always be a part of who she was.
Star....No paint

We chose: Dream, Imagine, Inspire, Believe & Strength

Here's a picture of the stars....I just finish painting them

Project Recipe:
5 unaltered wooden stars
yellow paint
black vinyl
sparkle mod podge & brushes
cricut & caligraphy cart

Here is a picture of the finish product.....On my way to my daughter's room to hang them up.

I hope you liked my project and as always

An Unfinished Project

I recently had to give up my crafting room to my new addition. I had a little boy in February and packed most of my supplies away in boxes and crates. I've tried to keep somethings in a little space, so I have easy access to them whenever I want to make a scrapbook page or card.

While I was packing all my stuff, Idecided that now was the perect time to finish a project I had started a year ago. The projest was a Painter's canvas that I altered for my husband for Last Father's Day!!! *Yes I know I'm horrible and what's even worse is I never officially gave him the gift, I just thank God that he is very easy going and super understandable.* I chose the title A Touch Of Class because my DH loves to "trick Out" all of his cars. The empty spaces on the paper are going to hold pictures of all the cars he has ever owned and "tricked out"

Project Recipe

~ Canvas 11x16 ( I think )

~ 12x12 Scrapbooking paper in his fav colors ( Michael's)

~Black Paint & Brushes

~Cricut & George Cart ( White letters cut @ 2; Red cut @ 1 3/4)

~1/4 Clock set up ( Michael's)

~Black stitch ribbon ( Michael's)

Here is a closer look.

Thank You for stopping by. I hope you like what you've seen and it has inspire you.

Altered Initials

My Brother, Sister-in-law, and nephew just moved into a new apt and I wanted to make my nephew a little something for his room. We are all die hard Yankees fan, so I took some wooden letters and painted them Yankee blue then added some embellishments that I found @ AC Moore. I think they turned out cute, and my SIL and DB loved them.

Snowed In and to tired to Craft....

I should have taken advantage of this day and locked myself in my crafting corner and made some cards and scrap booking pages, but I have been blessed with another baby. I am currently 36 weeks along and I find myself exhausted all the time. I hope that all you other crafters that were stuck at home took advantage and crafted to your heart's desire.

More Custom Work

Valentine's Day Card I made for DH using my cuttlebug and the lyrics to my favorite song.

Our very Simple 2009 Christmas card

11X14 Frame customize to fit 8x10 Wedding photo with name and date included.

Paper Cake: Dora the Explorer

Baby Shower Invites

Yankees Themed
Blue & Brown baby

Blue & Brown Criss Cross Invite

Valentine's Day Mailboxes

Simple Baby Shower Invite

I tried to put together a quick baby shower invitation on short notice. We did not want to stick with the traditional light blue and new pairing color-brown. We chose to go with the favorite color of the daddy to be, which happens to be silver, white, black and red.

First I cut red card stock at 4x9 1/2

Then I measured 1 1/4 from the top and scored it

Here's a picture of the invite scored and folded down

Next I took 2 of my Fiskars punches and punched a decorative border on the flap, then glued the actual invite with the information with my ATG gun. White card stock measures 4x8

I always like to add a little flare to everything, so with a Studio G 1.00 stamp set a bought at JoAnn's I stamped this cute little guy on the corner of all the envelopes that were being mailed.....but something was missing

The haappy couple are expecting a boy so I colored his little diaper blue and added some glitter to the rattle.
I really liked how these invites came out, I only worked on them for a maximum of 3 days.
Thanks for Looking and as always remember
