YUMMY!!!

I love to bake cakes, cupcakes even homemade pizza with dough made from scratch. There's something about creating art with you hands, however you do it, that I love. With that being said, my mom's birthday was a few weeks ago and the kids and I decided that we would make "yaya" *what my kids call my mom* a homemade cake. Taking the time to plan the flavor and decor of the cake would mean 100% more to her than just walking into a bakery and just picking out a cake. My mom is the ultimate chocoholic (LOL) so we make a chocolate fudge cake with a vanilla pudding filling, what a combination, DELICIOUS!!!! MY daughter wanted pink frosting and I usually make my own butter cream frosting but when I check my food colorings I realized I didn't have red nor pink so my daughter insisted on using store bought pink frosting. Here's where the fun began. We took KitKats and surrounded the whole cake with them, sort of like a dam for the frosting *YUMMY* and once they were in place my daughter took *felt like 1ooooo* bags of M&M's and sprinkled them on top. The cake came out fabulous and it tasted great too.
Here are a couple pictures of the Masterpiece:

Twins SweetPea Criss Cross Invites

I've finally gotten around to finishing up those Twin SweetPea invite, 50 of them to be exact. I ran into some minor problems but I think they came out really cute. I just think that the cuteness factor would have jumped 1000 notches had I had some peachykeen stamps. That is one product thats is going on my wishlist for this Christmas.

Please feel free to leave me feedback. I would really appreciate it.

Without further ado, here's What I came up with:

Sweet Pea Twins Baby Shower

I have been asked to come up with another custom design for a twin baby shower where the parents to be have chosen a Sweet Pea theme. Here is a picture I was sent for inspiration:
The theme is very cute. I have been searching the internet for over 2 weeks now. The main color is green and the 2 coordinating colors will be pink and blue. Yes mommy found out recently her twins are a boy and girl. How awesome is that! I will be coming up with samples of invitations for the family to chose from. As soon as I'm done I will post here.

Father's Day Cards and Gifts

I think Father's Day cards are very hard to design. I had to dig deep into my creativity, I had 8 cards to make. It wasnt an easy task but with some masculine colors, old memories and my cricut I went to work.
It was tradition for my family to get together on Saturdays. The cousins would get a chance to see each and play almost all night because the older men in my family loved to play dominoes, So I paid homeage to them all, those with us and those that are not and made them each a domino Father's Day card.
I made this Faux Air freshner for my husband.
I also cut him this Yankee emblem for the back of his cell phone cover. As you can already see we are from NY and my family are huge YANKEE FANS!!!!!!

Busy Weekend......

This morning my family and I went to my new niece's baby Shower. She came 5 wks early but Thank God that she is home and healthy. I loved the DP I chose for the rectangles, so I just went with the color scheme to assemble the rest of the card. I think BLINGING OUT her name is the best part of the card.

That afternoon, my daughter was going to a here friend, Katherine's 5th Birthday party at our local bowling alley, so naturally I made a card for her to give Kate. I love the pink and green together but I think I should have cut the "Happy Birthday" letters indivdually in pink instead of green. All in all I think the card is cute.

I hope you like my cards and they inspire you to create some of your own. Thanks for stopping by.

1st Project with my new E2

I absolutely love the preloaded cartridges that came on the new E2. I especially love the 3 cupcakes on Cricut American Alphabet because I am obsessed with all things cupcakes.
I was looking for a cupcake air freshner but thought to myself why make my DH visit every car wash or automotive store in a 20 block radius for a cupcake air freshner, when I can make my own.
Side 1 Side 2
I grabbed a blank cd from my DH stash and had him drill a hole into it with the smallest bit he had. I took 2 pieces of cordinating cardstock, traced the cd and cut out 2 circles. I cut 2 different cupcakes in my favorite color...PINK!!! Grabbed my ATG gun and pieced everything together.
Here is a picture of the finished project. I also added a picture of it hanging from the rear view mirror. Here's a close up of both before I hung them up:
I think I need to add some glitter for a little extra something something. As soon I take it down and add the glitter I will post an updated picture.
Im going to make one for my DH tonight. I'll post pics of that one too, once its done.

Thanks for stopping by, please come again!!

ITS FINALLY HERE....

I opened up my beautiful Mother's Day card from my kids and to my surprise, there was a shipping receipt from Provo Craft inside. I was the proud owner of a new 5th Anniversary Cricut Expression. I was so excited I didn't know if I should scream or cry. Guess what......I did both!!!!! **Fast Forward to Friday May 20.

I get home from picking up my daughter from school expecting my cricut to be delivered but nothing...or so I thought! My husband and daughter were playing a trick on me...Hidden behind my son's playpen was a huge box!!!!!
There it was, just screaming for me to open it up!!!!!

So I did!!!!!

He was SO HAPPY to see me, he asked for a hug, I was very HAPPY to oblige. =0D

There he is, out of that ugly brown box and shining in his GREEN & white beauty.

Off to play I go.....I will post my first project created with my new E2.

Altered Candles and Flower Vases

I needed to make a quick birthday gift for my aunt and I really didn't have the time (with my 2 kids) to run around and shop. I love to alter candles and I think they look so nice with a personal picture on them so I went that route. I picked up 2 candles at Dollar Tree and while there I saw these 2 glass cylinder shaped flower vases and thought the candle would look very pretty in them so I grab those as well.
Once I got home and began search for a picture for the candle and then I cut some flowers and shapes from my Accents Essentials Cricut cartridge. I hot glued the flower pieces together and then hot glued some ribbon to trim the vase. I think they came out pretty cute. She loved the candles....so much that she cried.

There's nothing like putting your creativity into something and seeing the recipient's rection when they see their gift. I LOVE IT!!

Thanks for dropping by.......Come back whenever you like.

Where the Does the Time Go?

Thanksgiving is now over and I did not have the time to do anything creative. Shame on me!! I am so bad at time management. "Hey I think that is going to be one of my New Year's Resolutions." Hopefully I can stick to it and find the time, even if its 20-30 minutes a day to do something creative.
On another note, I was hired to personalize candles for a baby shower. The baby shower was for a girl, the colors were Lilac, pink and white. Finding Lilac and Pink candles in the middle of the Christmas season was a challenge. I mean everywhere I looked only had red, green, gold and silver. I almost gave up. But my heavenly Father guided me one day to my local Christmas Tree Shoppe and low and behold I found them. They were gorgeous, scented and the icing on the "cupcake" ( which are my fav, lOl) were they lite up, yes flameless candles. She was thrilled. I am so happy that my creativity was appreciated.
Until next time,

Halloween Goodies

My daughter had her first party of the year at Preschool, a Halloween costume party. So we decided to make "mummies". These were chocolate cake with marshmallow Butter cream, the eyes are sour gobstoppers and the smiles are sparkle red piping gel.
We also made Jack'o latern cake pops, which did not come out perfect but I was feeding (12) 4 year olds so it didn't matter to them that the chocolate wasn't smooth.
My daughter also asked me to make her some goody bags. These were very simple and I made them easy for her to carry to school and hand them out to her friends. They loved them!!!! Then again what child doesn't like a little candy.

Its amazing how time is flying, Halloween was 2 weeks ago and the planning for the Thanksgiving cupcakes are in the works. I will post pictures as soon and the Thanksgiving Feast ends. Until next time....~~Be Creative~~

TwiLight.....Is it really that Great??!!

This whole Twilight Saga craze is insane. It is turning even grown women, mothers and grandmothers into crazy teen groupies. I haven't read any of the books nor seen any of the movies but I made this bookmark. I thought it came out pretty cool.

I love To Alter things

I was cleaning out my son's closet, which was my storage area for all of my crafting supplies and found this clock that I bought at Walmart for around 5 dollars. I think the clock is ugly left as is, its just too plain.
My DH's bar area was in need of a clock, so I took the clock grabbed some manly paper I picked up at A C Moore, cut out a circle with my George Cricut Cartridge @ 6 3/4 in. and cut out the numbers using the Calligraphy Cartridge @ 3 inches.

This is what I came up with. Simple but customized. My DH loved it and I enjoyed putting it together for him. Now on to my next 2 projects. As always

Decor for my daughter's Room

I have been shopping around for decor for my daughter's room. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but I was so tired of seeing that huge and long pink wall so plain I needed to fill it and fast.
I walked into Michael's and they had wooden unaltered stars on sale. I think I paid .50 for each, grabbed 5 and off I went. I finally decided to paint the stars and the DH and I decided on 5 words we thought we would like our daughter to always be a part of who she was.
Star....No paint

We chose: Dream, Imagine, Inspire, Believe & Strength

Here's a picture of the stars....I just finish painting them

Project Recipe:
5 unaltered wooden stars
yellow paint
black vinyl
sparkle mod podge & brushes
cricut & caligraphy cart

Here is a picture of the finish product.....On my way to my daughter's room to hang them up.

I hope you liked my project and as always

An Unfinished Project

I recently had to give up my crafting room to my new addition. I had a little boy in February and packed most of my supplies away in boxes and crates. I've tried to keep somethings in a little space, so I have easy access to them whenever I want to make a scrapbook page or card.

While I was packing all my stuff, Idecided that now was the perect time to finish a project I had started a year ago. The projest was a Painter's canvas that I altered for my husband for Last Father's Day!!! *Yes I know I'm horrible and what's even worse is I never officially gave him the gift, I just thank God that he is very easy going and super understandable.* I chose the title A Touch Of Class because my DH loves to "trick Out" all of his cars. The empty spaces on the paper are going to hold pictures of all the cars he has ever owned and "tricked out"

Project Recipe

~ Canvas 11x16 ( I think )

~ 12x12 Scrapbooking paper in his fav colors ( Michael's)

~Black Paint & Brushes

~Cricut & George Cart ( White letters cut @ 2; Red cut @ 1 3/4)

~1/4 Clock set up ( Michael's)

~Black stitch ribbon ( Michael's)

Here is a closer look.

Thank You for stopping by. I hope you like what you've seen and it has inspire you.
